Freddy Orlando Otzoy Cutzal, 18 years old, Long Way Home Crew

Freddy is native to Comalapa where he lives with his parents and eight siblings. He has completed 11-years of school where he specialized in computation. He would like to attend university to study engineering and is saving his Long Way Home wages for tuition. He dreams of one day studying in the United States.

Freddy hopes his children will attend the vocational school where they will learn skills leading to better employment. He wishes he would have had the opportunity to attend the vocational school, reflecting that it would have changed his life, introduced him to recycling and trained him for a better job.

He hopes that Comalapa will invest in education and agriculture in the future. Freddy thinks LWH has helped in both these fields, with the initiation of the vocational school and a reforestation program that has planted over 37,000 trees to date.
